Termite Control Harrisonburg & Staunton, VA

Termite Pest Control And Treatment

Have you found mud tubes along your foundation, discarded wings near a window, damaged wood or another possible sign of termites? Martin’s Pest Control can inspect your home, determine whether termites are active and recommend treatment based on what we find.

Based in Churchville, we provide termite inspections and treatment for homeowners throughout the Harrisonburg and Staunton region. We’ll explain the evidence, discuss the recommended treatment and provide clear pricing before work begins.

How We Get Rid Of Your Termites

If termites aren’t taken care of properly they can cause many problems and even destroy the structure of your home. That’s why we only use the best products that guarantee a termite-free home for years so you can have the peace of knowing your home is safe!

Create A Barrier

Depending on your home’s construction and the location of termite activity, treatment may be applied to the soil around the foundation and other potential entry points. This creates a treated zone designed to control termites as they travel between the soil and your home.

Non-Repellent Termite Control

Non-repellent termiticides are designed so termites can move through treated areas without detecting the product. Exposed termites may then transfer the active ingredient to other members of the colony, helping the treatment reach beyond the termites immediately visible around your home.

Kills Other Pests As Well

Every termite problem is different. We inspect the property for mud tubes, damaged wood, discarded wings and other evidence of activity before recommending a treatment plan. We’ll explain where treatment is needed, how it will be applied and what you should expect afterward.

DIY or Hire An Expert for Termite Extermination?

DIY steps such as repairing leaks, improving drainage, and moving firewood away from your home can help make the property less attractive to termites. However, surface sprays and store-bought products may kill only the termites they directly contact, without reaching termites that are active in the soil, walls, or structural wood.

Professional termite control begins with an inspection to confirm the type and location of the activity. Martin’s Pest Control can then recommend an appropriate treatment based on your home’s construction, the evidence found, and the extent of the problem.

If you have found mud tubes, discarded wings, hollow or damaged wood, schedule a termite inspection before applying a product or disturbing the affected area.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I don’t usually write reviews, but Weston, who came out, deserves it! Weston completely changed my life with his professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. From the first visit, he went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. He has incredible work ethic and integrity — the kind of person who restores your faith in good people. Not only did he help with the problem, that was affecting my life terribly, but he also followed up afterward to check on how things were with me and my home since the treatment. Weston is as professional as he is personable, and I will recommend him everytime. He brought me peace of mind and made my home feel safe again. I am eternally greatful for such a wonderful person ,experience, and business that goes above and beyond. Truly a five-star experience in every way. Id give more than five stars if it were possible! Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It seems EVERYONE is battling yellow jacket and wasp issues this year. We had called multiple other places, and they were all so busy they either weren't taking new clients, or they didn't even bother to call us back after we left a message.

After a web search, I happened across Martin's Pest Control. I gave a quick call, and was surprised when Weston (the owner) answered the call on the second ring. He indicated he could be out before the end of the week, and for our situation, we likely would not need to be on site, which is wonderful, avoiding missing any work time.

For us, the yellow jackets were entering on a corner of the house, approximately 18' up. We tried myriad sprays, across many brands and formulas. Some of these would kill a few bees, but were having no appreciable impact on the overall problem. Due to the height, we weren't going to put ourselves in a position to get swarmed while high up a ladder, so we couldn't try Sevin or the like.

Weston was true to his word, contacting me two days after I spoke with him, indicating he was en route. I got home from work as he was finishing up. He took the time to explain to me what he had done, why, and what the nature of the issue was. This is a problem we've battled for weeks, and Weston took care of it with zero stress or inconvenience on our part.

To boot, I had researched average pricing for this sort of work. I was charged less than what I expected, they took care of the yellow jackets and wasps, and even found and treated a few small wasp nests under our porch, which I had not yet found. Absolutely bowled over by the service and professionalism!
